Alexa received her Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee. Before becoming an OT, she spent five years working as a pediatric OTA in early intervention, school-based, and outpatient settings.
Alexa loves helping kids build confidence, independence, and the skills they need for everyday life. She enjoys incorporating play-based therapy, animal-assisted therapy, assistive technology, AAC support, and evidence-based strategies into her sessions. She also has a special interest in working with teenagers on community participation, independent living skills, and building confidence for real-life routines. Alexa and her family moved from Arkansas to Colorado in 2024 and have loved exploring their new home. Outside of the clinic, she is usually doing something active; working out, riding bikes, heading to the mountains, traveling, or spending time with her two labradoodles.

Hi, I’m Koda! I’m an 8-year-old Miniature Australian Labradoodle and a certified Canine Good Citizen, which basically means I have very good manners… most of the time. For the past 5 years, I’ve been visiting pediatric and adult settings to share comfort, smiles, tail wags, and the occasional very serious snuggle. I love meeting new friends and helping people feel calm, happy, and safe.
My humans make sure I stay healthy by keeping me up to date on my shots, regular vet visits, and fecal exams. That way, I can keep doing my important job while helping everyone around me stay safe too.
