Alexa received her Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from Belmont University in Nashville, TN, in 2023. Before earning her degree, she spent five years working as a pediatric OTA across early intervention, school-based, and outpatient settings. During graduate school, Alexa played a pivotal role in establishing a nonprofit
Alexa received her Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from Belmont University in Nashville, TN, in 2023. Before earning her degree, she spent five years working as a pediatric OTA across early intervention, school-based, and outpatient settings. During graduate school, Alexa played a pivotal role in establishing a nonprofit organization focused on improving accessibility and mobility within the home and community, while also educating the public on the value of adaptive recreational equipment for individuals with disabilities. Alexa is deeply passionate about supporting individuals with special needs and incorporates animal-assisted therapy, assistive technology, and evidence-based interventions into her practice. She has strong experience working with individuals who use Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) and is committed to supporting clients in improving their independence and participation in daily activities. Alexa and her family moved from Arkansas to Colorado in 2024.

Koda is a 7-year-old Minature Austrailian Labradoodle and a certified Canine Good Citizen. Koda has volunteered for the past 5 years in a variety of pediatric and adult settings, bringing comfort and joy to all he
meets. Koda regularly visits the veterinarian to maintain updated shots and undergo
fecal exams, ensuring his health and safety, as well as that of everyone around him.
